When i turn the ignition I get full power to dash but wont roll it over. I crossed out the ews and it will roll over but not start. I was wondering if it could be the key battery because it hasnt unlocked the car in awhile i cut open the key to replace the battery months ago and never got around to it so ive been putting the board from the key next to the ignition to start it with no problems until now.

Roll over like "he rolls over in his grave"?
Please be precise in the problem description so we can understand it clearly.

ive been putting the board from the key next to the ignition to start it with no problems until now.
So im looking at the actual key info page on the EWS module and my key number keeps changing randomly
Try again with the key board 10 feet away from the key and see if the INPA key number screen shows a different key number.

It seems the transponder chip is on the board:
If it no longer ans the call, then maybe the antenna coil around the lock is broken and failed to send and receive the RF signal to the transponder.

Yes, the ring antenna -- check to make sure its not open and the 2 wires connected to the EWS module.

So the antenna coil measured resistance was 5 ohms engine off, and changed to -118 ohms (negative 118) with engine running? Impossible unless the antenna was still connected to EWS. It should be disconnected to measure the resistance. I'm confused.
