Hello guys,
I have bmw e46 330ci, the car is feeling like going back and forth, vibrating, at around 40 - 50 km/h, then it goes away. It's happening exactly at those speeds. Any ideas ?
Thanks

Check for uneven tire wear or bent rims. Even a little imbalance in the wheels or tires can cause noticeable vibrations, especially at specific speeds like 40-50 km/h. Also, it's possible that worn or damaged suspension components such as control arms, bushings, or tie rods are causing vibrations, particularly at certain speeds.

Hello guys,

I've got a problem with my 2002 330ci 5s manual, clutch is not slipping, but it is squeaking ( and it's not clutch slave cylinder and clutch delay valve is deleted ). When I'm accelerating and I shift, from any gear to another, the car jumps/jerks like crazy back and forth. I feel like its the electrical throttle body closing and opening or maybe bushings ? Or clutch ? What could it be ? Also its sometimes hard to put it in 1st gear. And yes, I know how to ride manual. I have 3 e46s, all of them are manual but only this one is jumping/jerking.

Thanks a lot guys.

there is a huge difference in feel between engine-related issues (throttle body) and engine bushings.
it's like saying: "My car feels jerky, it feels like my FCAB's are shot, but it could also mean someone just rear ended me"
Is it drivetrain related or engine-related?

It's not speed dependent. You just shift from any gear to any another gear while having more than 3k+ rpm and the car just jumps back and forth like crazy. Guibo is bit wornout, will replace it soon and clutch and flywheel have no idea about the age. Bought the car last year.

That's what I'm asking you guys, I have no idea and I've hoped that someone had similar issue like me. As I said, when I'm changing gears it goes back and forth like crazy, only when I shift tho. I don't know if it could be throttle body or bushing or idk. If I knew the answer I wouldn't have been asking you at the first place.

that's true, but through the internet we might only help you with your problem if we have a direction to go to. Right now we have to start from square 0, and if you don't know, then it's not easy for us to figure it out.
That's like I would ask: My car drives like shit, are my shocks worn or could it be because my RACP is starting to rupture itself in half?

Bushings could cause some vibration or small shock-like feeling, but if it's throttle body or engine related, you will probably not experience it as vibrations but more as a shock back/forwards.

Start with the basics - are engine and transmission mounts ok - if it’s not anchored, it could contribute to this symptom. Same for Guibo. We don’t know the car. Check them - if good, move on. Pilot and throw out bearing are harder. Last week was a guy who’s Tranmission was missing bolts. Look for things missing.
