I vote for VDO, as it is OE for fuel pump.
Genuine BMW will cost starting at $300.

 

How about $148 for VDO at AutohausAZ?

 

I just want to add some information about the VDO fuel pump from AutohausAZ. I ordered mine about a month ago and it was VDO. I noticed when I installed it that part of the top was scraped off. It turns out this was where the BMW logo was. So, the VDO pump from AutohausAZ is exactly the same as the BMW one minus the logo which was scraped off.

 

When I was in the market for a fuel pump for my 00 323i I shopped around for pumps armed with the correct part number from REALOEM as I read and was told to purchase the entire assembly with the float as that will fail soon. I ordered the Bosch from Amazon and upon receiving it it was clearly marked on the end of the box "MADE IN CHINA" HEll No I am not putting a made in China pump in my car as I feared reliability, so I returned it. So back to shopping and for a few $$ more I purchased the VDO
