I thought so..wasn't sure. I like it alot. Almost as much as 'Seca Blue. 'Seca blue looks alot like the blue in the Rondel. A buddy of mine painted his S14 2002tii Rondel Blue. It's a friggen' sweet looking tii
Do you know how to use the internet? Trying to be nice but really, just go to your preferred search engine and key in 'BMW paint codes' or more specifically 'Laguna Seca Blue paint code' and it'll pop right up.
Ive seen this car on the LA craigslist! Its from the dealer in Reseda right? Its an 06 though, not an 05. Priced at $13,600 (for those interested). That dealer seems to bring in a lot of manual BMWs, but I've always noticed that they price them slightly on the high side, plus they oversaturate their photos, so their cars dont look as "crisp" in person. Its a beautiful color combo, with a manual at that, but search around a little. Best of luck!
It's Mystic Blue. BMW discontinued Topaz after 2002 and replaced it with Mystic.
I thought my 2002 Touring (see below) was Mystic when I first bought it, but a forum member suggested I look a the paint code and it was indeed Topaz.
Mystic is a slightly "cooler," less saturated blue, but it's a subtle difference and can easily be swamped by the difference in the lighting of any given photo.
(Ironically, Mystic is the one blue missing from those hood samples above)
They're both cool colors though.
^^ Mystic blue looks different at every angle but tends to have more purple than other blues (not apparent in my photo). Very subtle difference between it and Topaz blue as you noted. Might be difficult to color match if I need to do it in the future.
Crazy!!! I just bought another 6 speed xi yesterday. The pics on Craigs made it look like ORIENT Blue..which got me excited 'cause it would be the twin to my other xi! I get there 3 hours later....and it's friggin' Mystic Bleu!!! LOL. Dude didn't know his bmw color chart at all of course.
If you have some kind of web page which translates from number plate to vin, put the car vin in this topic. Then we can check what colour it is from BMW system.
Doesn't matter - everybody knows blue is the best color for a bmw - I could be biased, mine is topaz
