I’m a big e46 (and rwd in general) fan but thinking of going the opposite direction and getting an mk7/8 GTI as my next daily, once the e46 is too old to keep on the road..

 

Thank you. The mk7 is a great ride, great interior and well sorted out. Reviews on the mk8 are quite good except maybe the tech inside is a bit annoying. I've had my Mk4 R32 for almost 10 years and still enjoy it.

Thank you! Yep the BAT auction was a good experience. Yes the previous two owners did a great job. I just want to finish a few items they didn't complete. Also there was a small area underneath where a drain failed and needs a little body work. I'm keeping it out if the salt that's for sure.

 

Beautiful car. Love the style 135s. Definitely look into getting a Dynavin. Having CarPlay makes a huge difference and makes the car feel so much more modern

Beautiful! Over the years, I have painted 2 cars yellow. Last is my fave - Toyota FJ Cruiser yellow on our 1987 Vanagon. Looks great.

Welcome to the forums! I have used it as an amazing resource for many years. You should be able to find plenty of advice here to have that thing to be your perfect ride. What are your plans with it once you PC it? Any mods in mind?

 

Thank you! Yes I've already read a bunch of posts on here in a wide range of topics. Well ordered my personalized plates as my first item. Got a quote for a black headliner conversion this spring. Will change out the head unit as well, from eonon to an avin avant 4. Not into the tablet look. After that....S54 engine would be nice.

ive got a lightgelb metallic 330xi touring myself. Dakar yellow is certainly as brave if not more brave than lightgelb on a touring

keep good care of it, it looks great

is that bumper original? i thought any m-related options werent available on awd e46s?
