supercharger for 330xi?

I have always wanted to try and add forced induction on my bmw once I got a second car but one of the problems I see is with the vf engineering kit and other similar lists there seems to be no way to intercool them without modifying the supercharger itself. I was wondering if it is possible to mount the supercharger on the other side of the engine where the washer fluid tank is and have the piping flow down right away into the intercooler then up into the intake. I know it would be near the exhaust but maybe with some engine bay ventilation in the hood, some insulation on the headers, and reflective tape on the tubing near the manifold if something like this is possible. Just off the top of my head it seems like it could but the only concerns I have are the mounting bracket and belt/pulley that I would need. Any thoughts? This is more of a 2-3 year future project but I want to have a lot of time to collect information before I begin to start to commit to something.

I have seen another thread doing a similar build using the vf engineering kit, but it required cutting up the back of the supercharger to change the angle that the compressed air left the supercharger, which I don’t want to have to do if I can avoid it. Also it had the charge pipe run above the engine then go to the intercooler then to the intake. There is a small chance that since I have the m50 manifold swap that that won’t be necessary, but I cannot count on that. Another idea that I have is to see if I can acquire all the mounting pieces and belt, but use a different supercharger and do all the rest of the piping custom. Since I also have the manual I don’t have the water pump mounted fan so there is a chance that I could run the piping strait down in front of the engine and mount the intercooler in front of the radiator. The charge pipe and mount are going to be the hardest to fabricate but if I can figure them out then the rest should be relatively easy.

AA has (had?) a stage two kit w/ FMIC
so there must be a way to fit piping w/ modifying their unit

Also, pending your SC style and bracket, you could probably rotate the unit around a little (and pending oil drain if there is one) i'd assume they have symmetrical bolt patterns
an S54 OFH / PS reservoir move could add some clearance in that area too

I believe I saw that one or maybe it was a similar one, but they all say they are for the m3 only. Do you kniw why they won’t work on the m54 engine. Is it just the way accessories are mounted. You mentioned the power steering reservoir relocation. If I did that could I theoretically use the m3 stage two kit?

the forum link is for an M54/330; without seeing S54 v M54 kit side by side it'd be hard to tell

S54 front drive assembly has a different offset, if you will, for accessories/pulleys (w/ S54 OFH you have to space out a few things to get back to original alignment). the intake inlet is different as well.

here's an M54 330 level 2 kit

I see that kit but I’m wondering whyAA doesn’t sell it on their website anymore. I found a previous thread where someone was asking about it for their 330ci and linked it on their website, but that link just shows a 404 error. I see a stage 2 upgrade kit by other websites that look like what the stage 2 kit has on it but they are described as e36 m3 upgrades or e46 328i upgrades. Is there a reason why they stopped selling it then?
