Yep I was going mention the same thing. Fronts are 7.5" wide and rears are 8.5" wide. obviously different Offsets before someone asks.

 

I live in KY but could ship. Anyone want to swap 2 rears for two fronts?

Here's what my former ZHP looked like with 7.5s all around:

 

I recall running a front wheel on the rear of my E46 Convertible while I was having a wheel repaired. I seem to recall that for some reason tire had very little clearance to the shock absorber and there were some rub marks.,

So before you wholesale decide this is the way to go, check it out for yourself and you may want spacers for the rear.

 

just for reference the fronts are et41 and the rears are et50

 

The wheel that I would really like is either style 50 or style 32, 17 x 8". I can't seem to find either.

 

32s in E46 offset weren't available stateside, AFAIK. Style 50 I've not seen on an E46 before, but apparently they do exist with the proper offset, somewhere out there.

 

Get two more 7.5" style 68's for the rear with matching tire sizes, you will like it.
Look forward to more neutral handling, and tire rotation when needed.

 

With Style 68s on your car, you can run:

-7.5" front / 8.5" rear
-7.5" front / 7.5" rear
-8.5" front / 8.5" rear
-8.5" front / 7.5" rear

My personal preferences:

Winter - 7.5" square on Blizzak WS-80s

Summer - 8.5" square on Pilot Super Sports (although I'll likely switch to Continental DWs next)

That's a good idea but I'm looking to improving the ride. Hoping the 45 series tires on the back will help. I don't drive it real aggressively. Getting too old.

 

perhaps get different tires then? i don't know what you're running now but get some softer sidewall tires, less sporty. tire shops can suggest that style tire for you.

 

Now for the next question, I am going to purchase refinished / refurbished wheels for the back. Who has had a good or bad experience with certain companies or products? Which company out there has the best product and reliability? I know many of you do not like the idea of running these refinished wheels but I've had one for about 5 years and have no problems. Please let me know who to do business with. Thanks.
