Hey Guys

What's the low down on rear spoilers - should I go for a simple boot lip or a full on unit?

Anyone got any nice pics?

What about the rear window lips, I hear they make the vehicle look lower?

Cheers

I would say the CSL Style trunk is the one of the better "spoiler" option. We have them in stock for a Sedan and one last piece for a coupe. :)

Yeah what Jason said.

If your after a nice largish style spoiler then the csl is probably best. Then again there is also the clubsport spoiler as well.
If you want something nice and subtle, then I'd go M3 style. These come in original, with nice rounded and curved edges, or replicas with only slightly curved edges.

heres a few images that I found on google , you cant go wrong with simple....

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...0tgOzsfnVAQ&oei=h0-dTKXQCIv0tgOzsfnVAQ&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:14,s:0

this one the CSL style looks amazing when it is matched with a full body kit, lowered and wheels. But I would do it last because its to agressive with out the other mods IMO .....

and here is a 3rd style just for fun I think its a Hamann, but a basic rule with the e46's is to have an closed gap spoiler, NO OPEN Space between trunk and spoiler.... thats just My opinion, it can look goot on a really agressive car sometimes but for the most part they just scream RICE ......................

On the roof spoiler same kinda deal keep it simple, and it works but if its really agressive then once again , you prob need wheels, dropped, & a body kit to pull it off GL with your choice post pix and I hope helped :)

IMO the CSL add-on cheapens the car.

You can't go wrong with an OEM M3 lip or even the ACS lip posted above. Rieger make a nice one too.
+1.

For lip spoilers ACS make 2 different styles, a 1 piece and a 3 piece. The 1 piece looks a bit cleaner IMO. The 3 piece reminds me faintly of an e36 rear.

The rieger lip is very similar to the ACS 1 piece, but slightly larger. Racing Dynamics also make a lip spoiler that is practically the same.

There is also StraĂźentech, which is completely awesome, completely rare and completely pricey.

After these you start getting into propper wings like the BMW clubsport wing. Varis makes a rear wing, as does Lumma and Kerscher. Pretty much all the tuners make a rear wing.

Just do a google image search, 5 secconds and you will have them all up in front of you.

Obviously a properly matched paint job will be the best but I was having some other paintwork done at the same time which was why I bought it unpainted. I'd take a guess that the pre-painted ebay ones will be a 95% match which will look close to 100% as light comes off it at different angles to the car.

If it helps, i got mine from the ebay seller 'millowe'

Whatever lip spoiler you get, just remember to measure twice and only stick once!
