FYI: This will take a bit of skill to perform this but the rewards are great! and better yet it cost me $0.00 because I had all the parts. Once installed, volume control will be controlled by your iphone, ipod, android, etc. The way it's soldered onto the motherboard it doesn't connect to volume control. I don't know which part of the motherboard to connect it to. Also, there's a chance you might have to sacrifice the components of your cd player inside to solder the wires to the motherboard. There are a lot of small springs that hold the cd player in place and a few springs came off and didn't want to spend time figuring it out. I can only say that this will work with the Alpine version. I've attached a picture below of my SW#. I believe anything below SW43 or SV43, this solution will work as long as it's an Alpine.

Due to lack of pictures, I will have to reference a few links:
Here's how to remove the stereo, only follow this video until you are able to remove the stereo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYY0cl-Ecz0

Once you remove the stereo you will have to carefully remove the stereo's metal cover. Here's a link on how to remove it: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=970971&highlight=remove+business+radio

Once you remove the cd component/attachment, or sacrifice it, then you will have complete access to the motherboard. You will need a AUX cable to cut and use. I used a male to male AUX cable and cut off one end of the cable and split the wire to expose the smaller wires within. My AUX had silver ground wires and a white and green wire. The photos attached will show where I placed these wires. You will see where to solder the wires to the motherboard. Careful not to melt any of the black plastic of the chip, or whatever it's called. Counting the prongs from top to bottom, you want to solder the white and green wires from the AUX cable to prongs 5-9.

The red arrow towards the bottom of the picture of IMG4197 is where I ran my wire around in order to run the wire towards the back of the stereo.

Once I ran the wire around, I screwed back on the cover of the radio. If you were able to carefully remove the CD player then you can try to reattach the CD player but I do not know what problems you may run into.

Plug the business cd player back into the dash and run the AUX cable along the side of the business cd player and behind the AC control unit and down into the compartment box that's situated below the AC control unit, Picture below. I did not have to drill any holes because on the right side of the compartment is a squared hole where the AUX cable can run through.

Reattach everything once you are done.

I will post a picture of the final product soon after this post.
