PA Soft CVM codes vs. dealer CVM codes

I've been reading a lot about CVM codes lately and I'm not clear on some issues. Some people say they can read and clear CVM codes with PA Soft and others say only the dealer can red and clear CVM codes.

I'm using PA Soft and I do see CVM codes and have cleared some errors. But are there more CVM codes that I don't see that the dealer will see? Just because I see a code, does that mean I can clear it?

Also, is there a resource/list of codes somewhere? And I'm not referring to OBD2 codes like P0140, O2 sensor. I'm interested in understanding the 7A CVM error code I'm getting.

Thanks

That's interesting. I currently have no GM V/zke errors and one red CVM red error, V5GO. Still trying to find out what that one means.

Currently the motor under the rear seat does not power up at all, can't lock or unlock the rear lid. Gears are fine, it just doesn't get power. Never tries to turn.

I saw a diagram that implied that one of the first tests is to check the micro switch to see if the folding storage compartment door is down. Nothing moves if that test is not satisfied. Maybe the compartment door being out of position isn't enough to throw a code but it will stop the top from moving.
