Silly question. Where in OBD Fusion can I see if the engine is in the open or closed loop?

Below are the Fuel System Status states as outlined by OBDII. Note that not all OBDII Apps properly support the Fuel System Status values and some Apps/Tools do no allow you to monitor the Fuel System Status PID and some Apps/Tools also do not show individual Bank Statues and/or have some incorrect status value(s) they provide.

Trust me, it took some effort to get this sorted and the OBDFusion App developer was good enough to listen and provide the proper PID data.

1 Open loop due to insufficient engine temperature (Engine temperature is not used much these days to determine Closed Loop status, usually O2 sensor activity is used to determine when to switch to Closes Loop status)
2 Closed loop, using oxygen sensor feedback to determine fuel mix
4 Open loop due to engine load OR fuel cut due to deceleration
8 Open loop due to system failure
16 Closed loop, using at least one oxygen sensor but there is a fault in the feedback system

Being able to monitor the Fuel System Status PID's is a critically important feature that will give much better insight into the fuel system management and is a important aid in troubleshooting and verifying problems. Fuel System Status values of 1, 2 and 4 are COMMON states that you will see under certain conditions of most engines, Fuel System Status values of 8 and 16 are clear indicators of problems.
