You did not mention if the car cranks or not, that is important.

Your 2004 330i has MS45.1 DME, not the MS43 found in pre-03/2003 models.

Read all fault codes from DME and EWS using INPA and post here.

Work through our No Start Guide to verify the basics.

 

I posted the only code. Inpa isn’t giving me any. It cranks and has fuel pressure

 

 

The ERROR_ECU_REJECTED status is normal and not an error at all. INPA (and other software) cannot read the ISN.

Now that we know it cranks and has fuel pressure (good progress), next is checking for spark.

Please work through the no start guide linked above and post results.

 

No spark and no voltage at coil harness with ignition on

 

I should mention that I checked the engine management fuses all good. The car was purchased from auction after being impounded. I let the locksmith there make a key since it was only 150. I tried my ak to make another key but no go. I get this for the one I made

 

It seems the EWS detect the key password is not match with the stored code in the DME.

 

Bali said that page is incorrect because inpa can’t check that. I notice that when I go to the page with keys it only lists 3 even tho there should be 5 now.

 

Have you considered getting a factory replacement key from BMW? It's $170.
