Hi, first i want to apologize for my poor english and for this thread if is in wrong section :eeps:
I have a problem with my NCS Expert, when i choosed ZCS/FA F.ECU (F3) it poped up a window with chassis, i picked E46 chassis, then it ask to choose ECU (AKMB, ALSZ, EWS, KMB). Whatever i pick it brings me error
VIN is faulty
COAPI -1081: GM key is invalid FFFFFF20I
COAPI -1080: Coding key invalid FFFFFF20FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEFFFFFFFFFFF
COAPI - 1080: Coding key invalid
COAPI - 1000: Error
im using NCS v4.0.1
Steps i made in NCS
Check INPA for connectivity>NCS.exe>Load profile "NCS dummy profile">VIN/ZCS/FA (F1)>ZCS/FA F.ECU (F3)
INPA works fine, i can read modules without errors so i think my K+Dcan cabel is configurated properly.
Hope you will have an answer for this error from deepest hell because i cant find solution even on google.
Thank you

I found out why I get the vin error.I had a short circuit in the instrument cluster, which damaged the gm key. Because of that the gm key returned value fffff20i. After the instrument cluster replacement, ncs works as expected.
