Just had my standard 325i on a dyno.

I always thought the car was faster that what BMW claims. The bloke at the garage was very impressed with my results because standard BMW’s usually just get manufactures figures!!

The air/fuel was perfect all the way through the range. The torque curve seems really nice too.

I run it on the highest RON fuel in the UK and Mobil 1 oil (changed every 4K). The car has done 61,000 miles.

Either its a factory freak or running on high ron + thrashing the car works very well

damn man what you got? intake, exhaust, chip? I have pullies, intake, and exhaust and I think I'm runnin like 195
Just to clear up any confusion before some idiot asks, I'm pretty sure those numbers have been re-calculated to show crank/flywheel figures.

For reference, my 323i when stock put down about 160 hp and 163 ft-lbs to the wheels. That's about ~188-193 hp at the crank (15-17% loss). My buddy's 528i put down about 175 (205-210 crank). No doubt BMW underrates these engines.

PASH, do you know what drivetrain loss % your dyno shop used? By the looks of it, probably about 16-17%.

Doug - its perfectly standard apart from redline gearbox and diff fluid (if you can call that a mod!?!?!?).

UK cars are 192 standard tho dont forget (US cars about 180 ??)
yeah...they always drag the numbers down here  . I know the J-spec EVO is supposed to be putting down more than the US too. That is still impressive though! 15 above manufacturer claim!

Don't euro spec cars have different exhaust setups? As in they breath better because emissions there aren't as strong. So intern they have more power than U.S. BMW's??? I think I'm right
US-spec catalytic converters are the reason for the difference. It's really not that large, though. In reality, 3-4 hp at most.
