You have to optimazied way more tables than in wiki ... if you ad fuel restore ... you will get rev hang.
Had a lot of struggle to solve all problems. Some maps aren`t defined in tuner pro xdf I had.

So if you had play arround .
Also have a look at die Vanos maps, throttle body and so on.

 

So what I understand is it's not as simple as just adding more fuel.

 

Thats correct. Also have to play with throttle and vanos delay ... to let it work nice.
If you only add fuel you will get rev hanging like run with cruise control.
Also if you only add fuel and decrease timing if tps closed ...
Had a lot of struggle to get it run nice on B25TU and B28TU engines.
At B20TU its way more easier to get it run fine.

And sorry that I dont post more specific informations but so many guys here only for monetary benefits ... to sell this things like its own work.

This tables arent enough!
As I told if you do it like Wiki for MS42 you will get rev hangs only - non pops.
If you work with RR there are all tables present for pop mod ms42.
But there are diffrent ways for B20TU and B25TU/B28TU.

 

I know I actually moved over to romraider when I was doing research but I only found those 3 maps as well. I don't recall seeing a folder group relating to pops (which I'm sure there won't be because that's too easy)

I made changes to "Fuel Restore - RPM (A/C off)" "Min temp for Antijerk" "Fuel Cut - Hysteresis Delay Counter" "Fuel Cut - Hysteresis Delay Counter (below ECT Threshold)" "Fuel Cut - Hysteresis - ECT Threshold" and "Ignition Retard - Decreasing TPS (A/C off).
I didn't understand how to tune the throttle to be open ~1% even with no driver input.

 

Good Start but also not enough tables for B25TU and B28TU.
For B20TU its nearly enough for pop mod!
I told you at B25TU and B28TU there is another way! Not same as B20TU!
TB shouldnt be open for this mod. TB can nearly be closed. Signal came from tps.

Would the missing map for TPS be Throttle Angle Reaction on Driver Wish Warm?
Would the missing map for timing be under the folder labeled "Ignition" and would probably include "Ignition advance optimal warm engine"
I'm guessing the missing map for vanos be under the vanos folder but why do I have to mess with vanos? Is it necessary?

 

Its vanos delay and tps closing time and so on .
For smooth running engine without rev hangig and fast de-revs its necessary.

 

Only can talk about manuals. But you are right there are diffence .
And test it for more.
Had some times which it works one week and after this it burble all the time .
AC Switch doenst work anymore for this .

On which SW-Version you are? AD? C6? CA ?

 

I flahsed with AD virgin just to have no issues

 

I have 328i ms42 like your friend and would like to do same tune to ecu, can you make a tutorial explaining how you did that? What cables/ software I need so well I'd greatly appreciate it

 

You need a inpa cable from eBay (about $15), JM garage flasher, tunerpro, and the Siemens mss5x flahser tool. It can be found at ms43wiki.com/index.php/MS42. I have the file uploaded above so you can just flash that and you'll have burbles. It sounds pretty good on his with his muffler delete

 

Do I have to remove the dme out of the car to flash the file to it? Or do I bring my laptop to the car with the wire and hook into the obd2 and just flash it?

 

For the initial flash, you have to remove the DME in order to ground it. After that, you just flash through the obd2 port

Oil light at stops and off when moving

Good evening BIMMERWORLD,
I have a 01 330i and I have changed both oil level and oil pressure, but they are Autozone and not OEM. Here’s my deal, after warm up and start to drive and coming to a stop, my red oil light comes on and then goes off. I just order my new oem parts from ECS and hoping that helps. If anyone had or has the same issue , please help. The oil I use is Liqui Moly, blue jug, 5w-30 and factory filters. Checked the oil once a week, always full. Thanks again.
