Does anyone have instructions on how to do the relocation of the A/C unit without purchasing the kit? $80 seems steep for this piece.

the HVAC control will wedge in there just fine, it just leaves a little gap. You can do it and decide later if you want to order the new part.

It isnt really loose...it presses in there quite tightly in fact, you likely wouldnt notice the gap unless you were looking for it, its maybe 1/8".... Try it, if it bothers you, spend the $45-$85.

Yep.....I used a little bit of foam weatherstriping to make mine sit at the right angle and hold the unit "down" so that all of my "gap" is at the top, it took a couple tries to get it right but hhhmmmm...can you see it?

By the way, thats a mic on the upper left of the HVAC unit...I was playing around with mic locations for the bluetooth.

Thats a pretty good comparison there between the OEM and the Dynavin's appearance....

Yup when i put mine in i just pushed mine in until the hvac kit arrived, To be honest unless you were really looking you would not know if the kit was in there or not.
I just put the kit in because i am pedantic about **** like that. The kit just has the bottom rounded corners to fit in with the bottom of the controls and that's about it.

Okay, the HVAC move rack I ordered referenced above got here today. I didn't realize it when I ordered it that the seller was in Poland so it took a little extra time to get here. It seems to be a sturdy, quality piece. I won't know about fitment and what it looks like when installed until I do so and it's still a little too cold here in mid Michigan for that.
