How many miles have you gotten out of your axles/CV Joints?

Since I'm replacing both front axles this weekend, I've been reading a bunch of threads about them.

I thought I would try to get a thread going where we can see how long people got out of their axles and what brand and other mods they have. I bought my car used, so I only know info for one of my failed axles that I previously replaced. I'm going to be replacing both with GKN Loebro axles from Turner due to completely ripped outer CV boots.

Hopefully if this thread takes off we can get a feel whether there are any reliable cheaper alternatives to oem or loebro axles.

Axle Brand: Rebuilt OEM
Life: 60,000mi/5years
Lowered: Yes. (Bilstein Sports and H&R sports)
Failure: Outer CV boot torn

The other axle on my car looks like it had been replaced with OEM before I bought the car at 88k and the boot is now torn at 150k.

brand: oem
life: 129,000 miles
lowered: no
failure: both boots torn. Probably would have lasted longer had I replaced the boots in time.

brand: Cardone
life: 30,000 miles
lowered: no
failure: one side with torn boot, other side was clicking. These turned out to be a very bad choice. I don't think replacing the boots would have done much. There was internal failure in the joint.

brand: GKN
life: 5000 miles so far
lowered: no
failure: none yet, but my expectations are high.
