As stated in the title. If so, what kind of mods void it? Or does doing anything to the car void the warranty?

Thanks, geirsen

Your assuming you will even find a dealer that understand the SULEV Warranty!

If you are in Vancouver, WA you are already on an uphill battle if you read the terms of the SULEV warranty.

In my opinion the SULEV warranty is very poorly written anyway, overall the Warranty is a 50 state warranty, there is only 1 very small exception that the sale or registration of the car would not technically meet the wording of the warranty.

As for mods, I would say any mod that would alter any of the SULEV components may put you at some risk?

What warranty are you talking about? Isn't your car 7 years old?

There is no single warranty for the car, each of the parts is warrantied. So for example if you put an exhaust on they couldn't say your warranty is void on your headlights because installing the exhaust didn't effect your headlights. The part you install has to effect the part that they're not covering under warranty. Cause and effect. Make sense?

The warranty I'm referring to is the SULEV warranty. This is only for the SULEV vehicles that were sold in California and a few other states. There is a lot of fine print that is included with the warranty and to replace the fuel system (which is the main thing to go wrong wrong with the SULEV) is very expensive without BMW holding up the warranty. I just don't want to have something go wrong with the fuel system and then have BMW refuse to uphold the warranty because I have modified the vehicle.
