I have a 318i E46 M43 built in 12/98, it has both 16 and 20 pin ports.
I have bought the following cable (has a white board inside) and adapter (connects pin8 back to pin7):
I have installed:
EDIABAS 6.4.3
INPA 3.0.1 (according to F1)
DIS v44
I installed everything according to this and this threads and also DIS_v44_&_v57_Installation_Check.pdf.
The APItest is successful...
I used the DOS tool to set the cable to 100 Kbit's K-CAN. Is this correct?
My problem is that I am able to see the engine errors in INPA and in DIS but I'm not able to access other modules for diagnose or coding in DIS v44.
For example, I'm trying to retrofit the BC and I've already replaced the stalk.
Following this guide when I choose retrofit and it tries to read from the car, it throws an error asking "is the ignition on? battery has enough power?" something like that... and I can't go any further.
When I try to diagnose other modules in DIS I get this:
Can you guys help me understand this? Anyone else with this cable?
Since my car has both 16 and 20 pin port should I be using that (20) one?
