I would imagine it is big difference in handling. I don't know about the comfort level but I haven't read about too many people complaining about it. Also, I don't feel like searching but I know the specs aren't exactly the same between the ST and KW coils.

 

KW owns ST, and has essentially made it their 'baby' line. They're both very pimp suspensions that will lower your car substantially while keeping it comfy (less comfy than the OEM suspension, but I can promise you that you won't find anything better, especially for the price.)

 

i'm more concerned about handling and comfort for daily driving

my car is already lowered on H&R springs with stock shocks
so the other option i was considering was getting aftermarket shocks

 

Then it sounds like you're (yet another) perfect candidate for KW V2.. you can fine tune the height and dampening to fit your needs perfectly.

 

I remember reading that one of the main reasons why the prices differ is because of the material used. The ST uses galvanized steel(I think) so it can rust if you live in a area that snows.

 

I have ST's and the ride is firmer than my previous non-sport stock suspension, but it is comfortable on the road. Car handles a lot better than before with significantly improved cornering and the general feeling of composure on the road. As far as subjective views on the ride quality - i can tell you that my wife did not notice any difference between stock and ST suspensions from the passenger seat. She would definitely mention if the ride felt harsh.

I also have the ST's and I agree. The ride comfort is very close to stock and the handling is significantly improved, but if you want a night and day difference in handling you may want to step up to KW V2 or V3. The galvanized steel is also coated so there is still some rust protection.

main difference between ST and KW v1s are that the STs are made of galvanized steel and or will rust in areas with salt spray, but if you live in fl or cali they would be great, living in MD where it snows a lot and they salt the roads all the time in the winter i can not go that route. The KWs are made of stainless steel and will not rust. STs are great for the price essentially same exact as the KW V1s except for a lot cheaper and also have a lifetime warranty. i have heard tein basics are a very harsh ride from a few members, but if you dont mind that they seem great. Others love how their teins drive/handle.

 

ask ash (shady3one3) about the tein basics. i think she said they were way underdamped
