Good morning all,

I have purchased some camber plates from maxpeedingrods for my e46 drift car. Upon arrival I noticed they appeared to be the e36 plate and not e46, I have tried contacting maxpeedingrods but after over a week of back and forth messaging they just won’t give me an answer as to whether they are the correct part, if they will fit correctly etc They seem to just expect me to try and install to see if it’s ok? Horrific customer service!

Basically the e46 advertised has a cutout, the e36 part advertised does not. The part I have received looks to be the e36 part, but is labelled e46 on the box.

Can anyone tell me what the cutout is for?
Will this part fit my e46?

Ground control does make some of the prettiest camber plates out there. I buy them just for the aesthetics...
...but they are 10x the cost of those plates.

+1 for not being impressed by MaxPeeingRods....

That said, that entire camber plate's designed to sit under the strut, and ASSuming that the bolt holes for the ball- to- plate attachment
are slotted, the various drilled holes are to allow you to move it around. The picture you've taken shows the thing upside- down,
as it would appear looking up into the strut tower from below. It's pretty common to have to cut away the strut top to get at the adjustment
bolts that set the camber.

If the bolts fit the holes in the strut tops of your car, yes, you can try them.

Did the camber plates that came with the MXR set not give you enough? Should've bought them through Amazon, cost is probably 10-15% more but Amazon will handle the returns on their end. I'm looking at SLR camber plates, as I was also told MXR customer service is atrocious. However, I bought my set through Amazon.
