Hello all,
I did a search but did not come up with any reviews on a set of angel eyes from "angel eye guy" https://angel-eye-guy.myshopify.com/ so I thought I would create one myself.
This is not a DIY as the instructions posted on their website are well written and easy to follow. These were installed on a 2003 330 CI with xenon headlights. I chose to go with the all white version meaning they do not change colors. They also offer a white / amber option where you can change the color as you want and a white version that will blink amber with the directional. These cost me $49.99 plus shipping.
The kit arrived a couple days after ordering and in a really cool magnet closing box. The parts were well packaged and appear to be well built. Overall the installation was straight forward. The most difficult part I had of the entire assembly was running the wires behind the reflectors and out of the rubber seal. However, even that was not difficult. The wiring harness looks well made and wrapped well. The only thing I would mention is that I wished the black wire protector covered all the wires. For some reason these are left short. I wrapped the exposed wires in electrical tape. The harness is long enough to wrap around the fenders and firewall nicely. The kit even included a wire to attach to the dome light so the angel eyes lights up when the doors are unlocked or a door is opened. You could probably not connect that wire if you did not want that option...
The real test was when the sun set and I clicked the unlock button. I could clearly see my way to the car down my dark driveway.
I will have to see how well these work over the long run but so far I am pleased with the kit itself, the easy of assembly and the way they look on the car. I would recommend them
As a side note, this was also a good time to replace the drivers side lens as it was fogged up...
