VIN lookup reveals: Leather Montana/basic equip/grau, but there are several grey's in their COLOR CHART. Which one should I purchase?

Seems like it is indeed, N6TT-436 - Dove Grey.

FWIW, I'm a graphic designer for a long time and there's no way that you can accurately depict a vinyl/leather color on a website color chip the same way it would appear in real life/sunlight/shade on a physical example of a fabric.

Also consider that the color you're looking at in your car has already been aged 20 years. You should be good with the 436 kit.

N6TT and 436 are two different colors and I know Dove Grey is an E36 color.

Not sure what your dye plan is, but my highest possible rec for SEM's product line. They have several grays IIRC. You should find one that works and the result will be excellent. A couple weeks ago I tried Duplicolors product including their prep spray. Embarassingly bad, stunk for a week, and I finally bought a new part instead.
