hi, i have a 2000 323ci conv. and i wanted to add an xm or sirius tuner modulator. i was wondering what availabe type of units i can install to make my setup look cleaner. preferabbly if i can install a tuner instead of another box i have to install on my dash. all help would be greatly appreciated thanks..

You can get an auxiliary input adaptor from BMW (if available for 2000, check with dealer). If you use it instead of an FM modulator, you will get much better sound.

Pretty much any aftermarket XM or Sirius that has RCA level outputs can then be connected to the aux adaptor, and the control unit can be mounted inside a pocket or in a phone bracket. The tuner part is hidden under a seat or trunk.

If you still have your stock head unit and want the cleanest install then use the BMW OEM Sirius option. Your stock head unit controls the sirius receiver which mounts in the trunk. http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/sirius/sirius.htm
