I'll be quick. I wan to put in an x-pipe but i'm new to car exhaust so I want to know if there is any specific place it goes? And what pipe would I need? Anything else needed to install? I would like to avoid welding if that is possible too.

You don't want to get into the math that tells you the specific place it goes for your car. But you can put it somewhere in the beginning of the mid-section. Will probably have to be custom and welded due to the width apart the current pipes are.

2" custom x-pipe unless you can take measurements and see about the generic ones on ebay or locally?

Magnaflow makes a very nice free flowing X-Pipe performance muffler that I've put several guys into over the last 5 years. They all said it performed perfectly.

I was installing an AEM a/f wideband gauge and needed a place to put the sensor, in order to gather samples from both cylinder banks as close to the engine as possible.
^This I can understand as a reason to add an X-pipe, but otherwise......why?

Given that it has to be welded in, seems like a lot of effort for little/no gain.

I have headers and a muffler delete. I placed a MagnaFlow 18365 ( I think that's the part number) where the muffler delete took place ( so where the oem muffler would be) and It is a xpipe muffler

I'll take a sound clip later today probably

Did it change the tone of the exhaust at all?

I'm thinking of adding a magnaflow 12468 in place of the middle muffler to hopefully lower some drone and add a lower tone to my current exhaust setup. Pics and video would be great.

Putting my X-pipe right after the headers. Replacing the middle muffler with that Magnaflow X-Pipe muffler. Currently have dual 2.25" from the headers back to the stock middle resonator and stock muffler, first resonator temporarily deleted. We ran out of pipe and time so we couldn't finish the whole system, getting back at it soon.

Generally, an x-pipe performs better the closer you get it to the manifolds. Generally, the placement of the x-pipe is dictated by an available location to place it. The answer is to place it as far forwards as you can logically do it.
