the ground was connected to the strut bar mounting points and the 12v was wired to the red/white striped wire w/ yellow dots (there were two of them, i wired it to the one farthest from the firewall). i tried turning on the car and there was no light coming from the lightboxes for my halos. did i wire it to the correct wire? is the strut bar bolts a good choice for a ground?

also how did you guys run the fiber-optic cables into the headlight housing? im afraid to drill because stuff can get in there and mess up the halogen bulb (i have xenons).

Did you hook up the wire with the fuse to the positive terminal?
Did you put the fuse in?

i hooked up the red fused wire to the yellow/white stripe wire w/ yellow dots found in the ecu box (i searched and read that was the acc wire so it'll let the ddes go on and off 10 seconds after the key is removed)

Umm... what?
It shouldn't be like that. Post pictures.
The red wire with the circle on the end goes to the battery terminal. The spade connector wire goes to the ecu....

ohh ok i have it mixed up then. ok just to double check:

thick red fused wire goes to battery + terminal.
black wire goes to ground (strut bar bolts a good point?)
two pairs of + and - go to both lightboxes
red prong wire in the middle goes to the ecu

is this correct? thanks in advanced.

woohoo :woot: got the unit to work thanks to jlevi's advice. you are the king.

now does anyone suggest how can i run these cables into my headlight housing w/o drilling?

Run the wires out the highbeam rubber sealer, then fold the rubber back over them. They're thin enough to pull it off.
