I have a windscreen washer pump (original) that is leaking. There is a split in the tube at the bottom of the pump that connects to the black rubber pipe to the washers.
I have tried to repair the pump connector it but so far without luck.
I have also purchased 2 new pumps but both do not pump water even though the motor seems to run on both?!
The old one still works perfectly but as mentioned leaks.
Any ideas why the 2 new (admittedly not OEM) replacemants do not work?

Any thoughts/suggestions most welcome.

UPDATE
Problem fixed.
Seems that pump must have water in before it will work.
So attach pump add water to washer tank, then disconnect tube that feeds the washers for a couple of seconds to allow water to flow through pump, then reconnect.
Replacemant pump now working well.
