I have a windscreen washer pump (original) that is leaking. There is a split in the tube at the bottom of the pump that connects to the black rubber pipe to the washers.
I have tried to repair the pump connector it but so far without luck.
I have also purchased 2 new pumps but both do not pump water even though the motor seems to run on both?!
The old one still works perfectly but as mentioned leaks.
Any ideas why the 2 new (admittedly not OEM) replacemants do not work?

One is a:-

febi bilstein 23113 Washer Pump (Amazon)

and the other one from EBay

Any thoughts/suggestions most welcome.

I can't see why they wouldn't work / power up... especially seeing that you have them connected correctly, something ain't right... is there a kink in the line?

Test power at the connector? You should hear the pump pumping when you hit the button - have someone hit the button while you listen to the pump. When I replaced the headlight washer pump it took a good 5 cycles of the pump running before it pumped the fluid through all the lines, maybe the lines still aren’t full yet?

UPDATE
Problem fixed.
Seems that pump must have water in before it will work.
So attach pump add water to washer tank, then disconnect tube that feeds the washers for a couple of seconds to allow water to flow through pump, then reconnect.
Replacemant pump now working well.
