I dont see why not Vinno?
Me neither...I just wanted to confirm.

However, I have some issues with my current setup...KW v2 coilovers and 18x8.5 ACS TypeIII with 235's...have to use a 5mm spacer up front to keep the tires from rubbing on the spring collars. Argh...

You should get 235/40 R 17 they will fit no problem. I actually have 4 235/45 R17 on my 323 and there is no rubbing i have been running them for a year. I havent dropped the car yet though, I am going to do that right around the same time I need new tires so that way I can get the 235/40's instead.

Ditto this... used to have the 235/40R17s on my 323i & worked great.

To use 235 you have top checkthe tires specs to be sure that it will fit the narrow OEM 7.5" wheel width... many 235s need an 8" minimum, in which case you use the 225/45R17s & are happy about it since you have no other choice :D

As usual call me when ordering!

Yeah, I know. Actually, I'm planning to run OEM 17x8.5 M68's up front. :D

vinny,

you said they did not fit when you tried them but you didn't say why..

do they rub the wheel wells or the suspension components?

The tire rubs on my front coilover spring perch.

I believe you can run OEM 17x8.5 M68's up front if you have a stock suspension, but I'm running KW v.2 coilovers.
