If the wheels are the right offset they'll fit fine...people are squishing 19x9s up front without any problems.
Tire sizes you can put 225/45/17 or 235/45/17 for the front or all around or you can also run 235/45/17 or 245/40/17 or 255/40/17 for the rear.

17x8.5 will fit up front as long as the offset is correct. You should consider 235 or smaller tires up front.
