[Delirium]

I have a CAI, but I hear a different whistling noise from my car. Its not from the CAI, it even whistles when the car is Idle, does anyone have a similar experience or can guess what it is?

what kind of car do you have and is the engine running smooth at idle?

it is a 323 and the car idles smoothly & runs fine too. It can get a little jumpy when idling & its a cold start.

this happen to me too...
i think is something to do with the fan, it happen sometimes when i stop my car....and often happen in a cold start

Check all of the connections on the CAI. If the filter/coupling is loose it can cause a whistle.

Also visually inspect any vacuum lines for holes.
