Hey guys do you have a particular favorite ONLINE stores to buy real oem parts from?

oembimmerparts.com is my favorite. Good prices, excellent service, all parts guaranteed for, IIRC two years. They have genuine BMW parts, "OEM" parts (made by the same factory, but sold by the factory rather than BMW, and so have the BMW logos removed), and after-market (third-party manufacturer). I've had ZERO problems with any of them. Had one VANOS solenoid get flaky after a year, and they replaced it with no questions asked.

Regards,
Ray L.

I use FCPEuro almost exclusively. The great thing about this store is that it displays 3 or 4 different prices for each part. The levels are, in descending cost:
- BMW branded
- OE (the same part as the BMW branded part with out the BMW logo)
- OEM (part made by a supplier to BMW, but the supplier doesn’t sell this part to BMW)
- aftermarket.

All parts have a lifetime warranty. This includes oil!!!! Yup, some folks send their used oil in the just purchased bottles back to FCPEuro. And they get $ back!!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Tischer (getbmwparts.com). They have the absolute cheapest prices for genuine BMW parts in the US and they price match for the rare cases when someone undercuts them.

Of course you don't get the option of cheaper OEM parts, but sometimes you need to buy genuine BMW. At those times you can't beat them. Especially if your order is over $300 and you get that free shipping.

Edit: oops, I guess the reason is because OP only asked about OEM parts and not genuine.

I have purchased from FCP. They have a great rep for a reason, but the model is a little gimmicky. Their lifetime warranty should have at least some fine print, and they're like Amazon how they advertise free shipping, but the default shipping method is not free.

Still, for example, I recently bought a CSB and Guibo from them not knowing whether I will need to replace my entire drive shaft within another 10k miles. The overly generous Lifetime Warranty is nice in that situation. And I think their business model is more smart than unsustainable.

I like AutohausAZ, but it's in large part because I live a short drive from their main warehouse/office and can usually pick up next day free of charge. Still, they offer an efficient selection of quality parts and their prices are competitive.

I like RockAuto for its ease. Even when I don't purchase from Rock, I sometimes use their site in place of realoem to find part numbers. It is the Wal-Mart of online part stores in a sense, but that doesn't bother me.

The bottom line though is there are all kinds of good options out there. And the best option for any one buyer likely depends on context + location.

Be wary of RockAuto because they do not have any sort of customer service. All they offer is a form you can fill out online. You cannot have an online chat, you cannot speak to anyone on the phone and you cannot send an email to anyone. I ordered tire pressure monitor sensors for my car based on the information provided on their website. They sent the wrong sensors for my car but I did not know it until they were installed and RockAuto will not take them back. The only reason I got the wrong parts is because the RockAuto web site sent me the wrong ones but they will not take any responsibility for selling me the wrong parts, and there is no way to contact anyone at RockAuto. Do not buy from RockAuto, there are many other good vendors out there that offer good customer service and RockAuto will leave you high and dry when something goes wrong.

I used RockAuto ONCE, not for BMW parts but for a GM AC/Delco fuel pump.

AC/Delco had a KNOWN issue with wiring problems with the fuel pump assemblies and it was pretty much indicated that the problems had been resolved with current products. Well I was left stranded due to the known wiring problem just outside the 1 year Warranty. I contacted Rock Auto and was pretty much blown off by some woman that had no technical background and was just programmed to say "No".

I explained this has been a "known" problem and either that have old stock or the problem was never fixed and AC/Delco needs to know about this problem. Pretty much stonewalled and no interest in passing me on to the Product Line Manager within RockAuto.

Luckily I still had the original part in my scrap bin, pulled the wiring harness from the old assembly, figured out what the problem was and solved the problem myself.

Screw RockAuto and shame on AC Delco for never figuring out the basic problem that has been going on for years.

No interest in ever buying from RockAuto regardless what others have had to say. Screw me once and offer no real support, my money goes elsewhere.

Amazon has FAR better Customer Service than RockAuto.

I've been using eB-ay and Amaz-onian a lot lately. it's amazing what they have nowadays. and much cheaper many times... and with prime. why not. There are other great vendors with great photographs of parts like ECSTuning. they photograph even small screws. perfect for reference as well. Rock auto is another good choice with rock bottom prices.

Dunno I always had Lightning Fast Service with rock auto. Great guys. As we speak I have a box of stuff coming tomorrow--mostly OEM filters. Which i ordered yesterday!

Also-- They have SECRET parts too which no body else has on the planet. For example the air filter for one of my cars is $27 dealer branded at one of those discount sites. Rock auto? Professional OEM for $7. Same part. Just by the OEM. I looked high and low and nowhere does this OEM part exist except rock auto.

They also have some other shocking dirt cheap OEM tidbits which I found nowhere else on the planet. I'm not sure how and where they're getting these dirt cheap OEM branded parts from but they always check out and always genuine.

Go Rock Auto.. pros all the way!

Give you another example on one of my Lexuses. $60 OEM high friction compound pads cheapest price anywhere... Rock Auto? $17. Made by the OEM--same as our cars--Textar. $17!! wth? Secret parts.

This particular OEM part? Exists nowhere else. So when I want to see if something exists for 75% off, i always check RA.

I buy a majority of my parts from FCP mainly because of the warranty and return policy. I've sent back ball joints with torn boots, used gaskets and fuel pumps that still worked but the cars still wouldn't start. I just wish they would offer discounted return shipping labels. I can never send stuff back for the same price as is cost to ship it to me.

Sent from my SM-G950U using E46Fanatics mobile app

Rockauto is great. I've ordered many parts from them. While fcp is good, shipping to Canada can sometimes get expensive. On the other hand, rock auto offers decent shipping rates right to your door.

I've had pretty good experience with their warranty as well. I had suspension parts go bad before the 1 year mark and easily got replacements. Just use their online return service. no need to speak to a customer rep cause the form makes it simple.

For oe, fcp has been reliable and I use them for all of my genuine parts. I'll sometimes go to the dealer, but chances are that dealer prices here are marked up by a lot.

They are great for American cars and can also be good for euro cars depending on the product. You really have to do research to determine whether the part is good. The suspension component i bought was a URO branded item and I've learned my lesson never to buy cheap parts, whether it's on rockauto or fcp or any other vendor. For me, Rockauto is great as long as the product is quality and that's dependent on my choice of parts.
