You can buy the replacement leatherette cover complete with new and better working heating elements for $260 and then take out the seat and replace the cover using this DIY. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=787676

thanks for the quick replies, umm i'm going to check these sites out now and see wats the verdict, and wow the oem replacements are almost 800 bucks and the stuffs not even real....i mean i love my leatherette it requires so little maintenance and it looks the same as the day i got it....minus the burn of course lol

well i just found a pair of front seats for a reallllllly good price....but they're from a sedan is that the same as the coupe seats ?

no, they will fit but you will lose access to the rear seats (no flip forward)
