Okay, so i rollled up to the carwash (Im too lazy to do it myself), and when the guy came up to ask me what kinda wash I wanted, i rolled down the window, but when it got half way it started to make a grinding noise and stopped working. I had to leave the carwash line.

So now my baby is both broken and dirty. Only one of which i know how to fix. So what is wrong with my window now? How much am i going to expect to pay, and is there anywhere besides the dealership i could take it?

try to make the dealer fix it for you. I also have those those squicking/fre**ing sounds in my windows. I tried to make the dealer fix them, but they refuse to do that untill they stop working compleatly.

Two word: Window Regulator! Bmw doesn't make the best window regulators in the business, dealer should fix on the warranty. My brother has a '99 740il and one of his back ones went out, dealer fixed it in half a day. No problem ever since.

well, what if my car is no longer under warranty? will they still fix it cuz itd be kinda f ucked up for them not to.

Good Luck with the window. Like I said all you can do is try to get the dealer to fix it for you under a recall or something. :thumbup:
