Hello, i have an M3 trunk lid spoiler i bought to add to my 01' 330ci and i want to remove the original red paint on the spoiler before i take it to body shop to be re-painted Titanium-silver to match my car. What is the best way for me to remove the paint currently on the spoiler? Any suggestions would be great.
"also, if you think it would be better for me to just let the body shop remove the old paint please let me know?" Thanks so much, RSV

Body work will always lead you to a deep mess if you don't know what you're doing :banghead: ask me how I know.
Look for a decent bodyshop with reasonable price. Private mechanics or reputable hispanic shops will cost less, but will give you best result.

Agree with the above advice. Body shops prefer to do that stuff themselves. Plus, if they mess it up, you get a new spoiler for free. If you mess it up, you will be buying a spoiler.
