Sorry for making another tire size thread, but I'm planning on switching from 19's to 17" ASA GT5's (17x8). I need to know what size tire to get for maximum performance. I've searched and 255/40/17 is what I gathered for max performance, is this right? Will this cause any rubbing issues? Thanks.

255 is too wide for a 8 wide to be "safe"....you should be fine with a 245...255 isnt necessary for 170ish HP...i have 255 but its for looks not "max Performance" like youre looking for.
