Gary, I have a 2000 328i with sport package/stock susp. I just bought 18x8.5 inch rims. Now I need tires. Should I go with a 225/40/18 set up all around? Or should I go 235/40/18 all around or 225 in front and 235 in back? What are the advantages and disadvantages of these setups? Will the wider tires look any different? Thanks.

Borderline aggressive fit. 235/40R18 This normally fits a coupe, but on a sedan it is pushing things a bit. I've seen some get away with it, but a we've had a lot of reports of rubbing too. If the car isn't lowered it has a better chance of fitting, but still not 100%. 235/40R18 gives you a tiny bit wider and taller tire.

I'd suggest trying 225/40R18 all around first. After checking clearances with that sizing it would be easier to tell if you can take the extra approx half inch wider and taller next time around.
