Simple green works great too...what's nice about it, is that it is non-toxic..you could practically gargle with the stuff...it breaks down oil like it is nothing...its amazing watching it work.
make sure you cover up the electronics (distributor cap, alternator, etc), water really doesn't hurt the car, but it might not start right away if it is wet!
