D2R xenon bulb is for headlight house without projector. D2S bulb is for projector headlight. AFAIK, Mercedes/Lexus/Acura xenon headlight don't have projectors. Yup, he is right D2S is for headlights with projectors D2R is for headlights with reflective housing (ie your halogen based headlight assemblies)
