I have some Mercedes Osram D2R xenon bulbs 60050. What is the difference in them and the BMW Osram D2S 60040 bulbs?
Nope, I put them in my car and they worked just fine, they look identical but they had more of a purplish color, I like my more blue color better. I was hoping they were the 6000k bulbs.D_Ultim8 said:Probably just different fitment. :dunno:

D2S bulb is for projector headlight.
AFAIK, Mercedes/Lexus/Acura xenon headlight don't have projectors.

But also, I don't think you can get just a bulb. I think you have to get the ballast also and I know it takes a different plug than would come on a car without xenons.

Since they don't have projectors your would need the D2R bulb like that came in mine not D2S that came in my BMW.
Also Mercedes do not have the indicator for lights like BMW. All it has is 1 bulb out light that you can just pull the bulb out of.
