Anyone aware of a totally FREE website that can give the full build spec of a car - ie what the build spec was, added extras, wiring harness, production options, I have searched on line and every site gives you the basics then charges for the info you want to know. I have tried BMW sites TNA. Car 2002 2.5CI.
Thanks in Advance

I have been using bimmer.work lately and like it. 👍
After entering your full VIN and passing the CAPTCHA, it has an Options tab that lists each numerical option code with its description in English and German. Very handy!

Have you looked at realoem.com? It is mainly for looking up BMW part numbers, but will indirectly show various options and systems.

What exactly do you want to know about your E46?
We can probably tell you from experience.

Thanks for the reply, bimmer.works I think only works in the USA or for none European cars (I'm in the UK), so does not for me. mdecoder does work to a degree. It is mainly the electrical loom side for things. I would like to know what is loom installed in case I want to add heated seats, headlight washers, front parking sensors, or additional audio equipment. Are these supported? Or would the wiring have to be retrofitted? A route to which I would not be able to do myself. I would probably catch the car on fire. Also my rear parking sensors, door chime, seatbelt chime, and reverse gear gong don't work, so I would like to check out the wiring. There is no Haynes hardback manual for my 2002 325ci Sport Auto. Only an online version that costs a fortune and maybe useless to me anyway. If these features are upgradable options there is a good chance the loom supports them. If you know of any websites that have wiring diagrams or help with this, it would be appreciated. I have lost count of how many sites I have tried.
