I'm still learning about vanos, but I've found the slimination kit and can't really find much other than it's used with standalone ECU's.

Would it make the vehicle "more reliable"? Or is it one of those purely race car mods that us DD M3's should avoid?

If not... who has done this to their vehicle? or have anymore info on it. Just curious and trying to expand my knowledge!

You really don't want to eliminate the vanos, especially on a DD, as it allows the engine optimal breathing across the entire rev range. I think most that have done this are using a standalone that can't control the vanos and they get by because they are tuning for a much narrower engine operating speed range for track duty.
