Anybody have the link to the site that showed a Valentine unit mounted in the rear view mirror? It was some sort of stealth install where you could ship your mirror to the guy and he'd install it for you. Anyone?
Sounds like a neat idea but I think my set up is almost as good and a hell ot a lot cheaper. Have the wire for the V1 run under the front windsheld trim and come out to the left of the rear view mirror. Mounted there, the V1 is easy to see and really close if you want to mute it. Also, if you are driving by a cop and do not want it seen, pull down your visor and it disappears. I had the same set up on my 98 328i convertible and loved it so much I had the same thing done the day after I picked up my M3. And for the record, the V1 is THE ONLY RADAR DETECTOR TO BUY. Accuracy is only part of it. The directional arrows let you know where they are and whether they are getting closer or farther away. It also makes it really easy to know when you are passing familiar false alarm spots. I have no idea how Escort can claim top spot when they completely suck.
