Why dont you just e-mail and ask them ?? 1.8 has been around for a very little while, so I dont see why they would trhow 1.9 out just yet.

I think i asked them about 4 months ago when i bought my 1.8 and they said it wasn't coming anytime soon....

I just called them and it is currently 1.8 and they did say there is no timetable for 1.9. The questions I have....

-Does anyone know when 1.8 came out officially?
-How long does it normally take before a new version is released...1 year, 2 years....any clue at all?

I'm definitely getting a V1, I just don't want to spend $400 on it and then 3 months later 1.9 comes out. I could be patient if I had some kind of idea if a replacement was on the way.

1.8 was relased in 2001. and the 1.9 is just a software upgrade no hardware sawping.
