If you flush the system and put in the correct coolant, you shouldn't have a problem.

what if I just put a tube in the coolant tank and suck it out. is that a bad idea?

Just use the drain valve, man. It should be on the radiator near the bottom of it if I'm not mistaken.

is it a problem to mix a coolant.. Say I had the wrong coolant in my car and it was low, then I topped it off with BMW coolant. is that OK?

people always say to use the bmw stuff.
i've topped off w/ prestone cuz i dun feel like it matters.
30K+ gamble... I'll stick to using the "correct" coolant... If you compare the ingredients in the Prestone to the BMW coolant, you will see that they are different... will this matter? I guess YOU'LL find out!
