Hi there,

looking for some advice if possible. A couple of weeks ago my e46 coupe had the rear discs and pads plus sensors changed so all was well. This week I put the car into the garage to have new camber arms and 4wheel alignment done all is good with the alignment now. Since I picked the car up the abs light traction control light and brake light have come on permanently to begin with(the 1st day it was intermittent and the brakes would lock up for no reason) now the lights are on permanently. I have rechecked the sensors and all seems well. Any advice on what the issue could be. I’ve checked the codes and no codes appear for the braking or traction system. Thanks in advance for any help. Bit of a strange one, usually those lights point to a bad wheel speed sensor but that should throw a code in the abs module, one thing you could try is opening the wheel speed sensor signal display on inpa, roll the car to 10 mph or so on an empty straight road and check to see if all the wheel speed sensors are reading properly.

Have you tried scanning while driving? Seems kind of strange you not getting any codes although all of the mentioned warning lights are on... I had almost the same problem with all of the same lights turned on when my brakes where worn out, but after I changed them all the lights whent out, even though I got a fault code for the front right ABS sensor it went out by itself and the sensor is working fine. Also check all of the connections for the sensors on the wheels and definetly do what jarheadp3 said about checking the speed sensors on inpa while rolling/driving.

What year and model E46 do you have?
Should always state that up front, or better yet put it in your Vehicle Details under Account details.

I’m guessing you’re not using BMW-specific software to read the DSC trouble codes? You definitely have DSC trouble codes if the “ABS trifecta” lights are on.
Is your steering wheel centered when the front wheels point perfectly straight? If yes, then just need to reset steering angle using INPA or Tool32. If not, you need to go back to the alignment shop and have them adjust the tie rods until the steering wheel is centered.
