As per popular demand :thanks:

Rules:

- Ads can be from anywhere; Autotrader, Cars, the classifieds, Craigslist, eBay, local ads (if not on-line, post scan of the ad), etc.
- NO slamming the ads - some commentary about value is OK, but keep it short and constructive to the community here.
- One post per hour - if you find other ads, edit your most resent post if less than an hour ago.
- Post essential data: Year, transmission (AT/MT), key options (or deletes), location, price, and of course a LINK (don't post pics, anybody too lazy to follow the link is unworthy ).
- Must be whole, driveable cars - NO parts or parts cars.

Interesting. The Texas car is indeed a Texas car (San Antonio area). I almost went to look at it this past spring. Advertised price then was $3,500.

I wouldn't normally post this as it's an automatic and no sport package. However, it's red and only 43.5k claimed miles. It may interest someone.

2001 325iT in Dallas, AT, options and condition unknown, $7,599

https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/5377073254.html

2001 325xiT in Austin, manual gearbox, sport, premium, beige leather needs some love, $6k

https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/5363120203.html

Here's a bargain for someone that can live with some rust bubbles:

2000 323iT in Des Moines, IA, manual gearbox, sport, premium, xenon, $4k

https://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/5368430596.html

2005 325xiT in Raleigh, NC, AT, sport, premium, xenon, red, $,7995 (says leather, but I'm pretty certain that's vinyl)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/ctd/5371947757.html

2002 325iT in Charlotte, NC, manual gearbox, sport, xenon, red, salvage title, $4k (needs some love, but sound)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/ctd/5371947757.html

Also on Bimmerforums:

http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...)-2002-325iT-Sport-Manual-with-Dinan-upgrades

2003 in Raleigh, NC, AT, sport, premium, xenon, $5,999 (pretty clean)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/ctd/5355393752.html

Breaking the E46 rule for this one as it should interest folks here... (Jake, if you think this should be deleted, let me know and I will)

1999 540iT with manual gearbox swap - these never came with a manual in the US, very clean $7,900

Silver on grey, one owner, Sport pack with Xenons. CA car. Looks like a steal at only 4500 if you can live with the color combo.

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/5380061226.html

yup been eyeing this for awhile, but can't get myself to buy it because its an automatic. i think thats the only reason that hasnt been sold yet.

everything else on the car is pretty much perfect scenario

What's the point in making a specific car sale thread if you can't post your own? If someone is looking for a filtered search, which the classified section doesn't offer, is this not the place to post to that specific audience?

Touring are some what rare. Ease up on the rules there Jake.

Hard to come up with a scenario for this car that isn't scary.....
Taking a wild guess based on the limited info available, I'd posit that the first owner drives it for 11 years during which the standard typically neglected PM items are not done until eventually some dealer or shop gives him a $5,000 list of items that need attention whereupon he dumps it onto the second, probably unsuspecting owner. A short time later the inevitable starts to happen and at some point probably a cooling-system failure of some sort, possibly engine damage. Convinced he has a lemon or that the car is toast, he dumps on Ebay for four grand, where the present owners come into the picture, thinking here's a car we can spruce up and flip. Still on craigslist for $9850.

I couldn't say it any better, I was actually willing to go purchase it but I seen ad after ad with the same car
