to add a amp and an audiocontrol unit to the stock oem hu with no H/K system, do i have to access the HU?

325i with the basic business single cd unit up front. no hk.

Hook up at the back at the factory amp. It is located on the left side of the car: in the trunk for the sedan and coupe, in the rear seat side panel on the cab.
