$1266.00 for supersprint headers for my 2001 325i...any other recomendations? Anyone else have headers, what do you think of them? On the catalog it says 'legal in california for racin use only, not for highway use' Does this mean they're illegal here in new jersey? So if you get them you can only race car? Appreciate any input. Thanks

the legal in cali for racing only... is because of their ungodly high emissions standards.. they are probably perfectly legal in your state..

heres the skinny, you can run headers just fine in most states that don't have tough emmisions. but the DME on the engine will cause the engine to run like crap unless you put on cats in replacement of the 1st resonator and move the O2 sensors down abit. the other option is reprograming the DME to ignore the fault codes. so far I'm still in working progress on this one. and the car for now runs from reset to crap every 7 or so cycles.

there is alot and I mean ALOT more technicle info on this but I'll spare you all the details until it gets worked out.

I should have my SS headers in soon . As far as I know, there are not many other alternatives for the e46.

I'm testing some headers now.. so far so good.. should be much cheaper then SS. I'll post details soon as testing is over.
