Hello All,

Welp, yesterday I attempted to fix my sunroof cover which went alright. I found out the passenger clip was completely broken so I had to buy a whole new cover with clips with cost $150ish. After re-installing I found out the driver was sliding right over the new clips so I will need to fix that somehow, but that will be left for another day.

So back to the original question, I was reading about how the front sunroof glash should be 1mm lower then the roof and rear should be 1mm higher.

Can anyone verify why this is needed? Is YOUR BMW sunroof flush with your roof at flat close or positioned as above.

Thanks ALL

Hmmm, ya I am able to adjust it easily but wondering if it made a difference if I made the sunroof flush with the roof. I was reading from a DIY which said to have the front lower 1mm and back higher 1mm which I didn't understand why you would want it to have that offset.

I currently have it offset but rather have it looking sleek with flush but wonder if it would have an affect anything.

Thanks!
